Hi does anybody know the exact differences between a fully equipped FX50S US spec. and a fully equipped FX50S European spec.
Beacasue yesterday I was at a dealer here in Rome, Italy and I noticed that it didn't have many buttons and the sd slot that the US version has. I was REALLY dissapointed.
thanx guys just want to show the differences list to the dealer and tell them that I won't pay 4 it untill i get wht I want.

Don't know the interior differences but the EU spec FX50s have 6 piston calipers up front instead of 4 piston US one. I think it also have a stiffer suspension. The one that you looked at probably doesn't have one of the packages containing the stereo with SD card.

I took a quick look on the Infiniti Europe site and the seller might be right actually.. It doesn't specify that. There's a multimedia package with Bose speakers but it might not have the SD card feature in it. The website doesn't really explain it as well.. The US spec has it for sure though.

I don't blame you for checking, I would too, did your research on what you wanted and it comes up a little short. Hopefully after you show them that its there on the US model you might have a chance to get it ordered. Good luck.

Finally found the complete list

The changes in full:

Transmission
Automatic
• Re-mapping of adaptive shift control on new 7-speed automatic to reduce hunting and prevent unwanted shifts when cornering or climbing hills: the result mirrors the way a manual car would perform
• Fine-tuning of shift points to provide greater differentiation between gearshift modes (Standard and Sport)
• Altering software to deliver smoother, almost imperceptible, gear changes
• Reduction in slip feel by increased use of lock up, and provision of more engine braking to give improved control.
• Focus on fuel economy with long-legged overdrive seventh ratio
Manual
• Lighter clutch action on manual versions
• Reduced vibration through shift lever for greater comfort and refinement

Engines
• Re-mapping V6 and V8 engines to comply with Euro 5 emission regulations

Chassis/steering
• Re-tuning of suspension damper and spring settings and revised bushes
• Revised damper settings established for higher average speeds (>160 kmh) and European road surfaces
• Settings were initially developed to provide greater body control on standard models, but have also been adopted on Sport versions
• Electronic dampers (FX) retuned to meet European ride comfort expectations
• ESP recalibrated for smoother response

Steering
• Steering response altered to cope with higher average speeds, especially on Sport models with four-wheel active steering
• Result provides maximum high speed stability and lowers likelihood of exaggerated response to small steering inputs at high speeds (sneeze factor)

Brakes
• Bigger discs for more efficient heat dissipation in line with high average speeds (G37 models are biggest in class)
• Unique 18in alloy wheels to house bigger brake calipers (18” on G37/ 20” on FX37)
• Pedal ‘feel’ enhanced for easier modulation and linear operation to enhance feeling of being in control

Refinement
• Improved wind noise suppression at speed using:
• Different door seals
• Redesigned wiper arms
• Enhanced noise insulation in A-pillar
• Additional NVH material in front foot well to lower road and tyre noise
• Additional engine insulation to compensate for higher noise levels linked to higher engine speeds
• Re-tuning of exhaust system to enhance sound quality under acceleration: resulting system uses existing components but is unique to European cars

Quality/comfort
• Thicker carpets (+40%) on all models
• Redesigned door sills with fabric look
• New satin chrome interior door handles matching gear shifter
• Matt-look leather trim to match door panels
• Revised switchgear for heated/cooled seats
• Improved displays on instrument cluster
• Vehicle specifics
• Enhanced soft touch lower door trim on G37
• Deletion of snow mode for automatic cars (softer pick up with 7-speed)
• Door trim and grab handle on G37 Coupé with matching “washi paper” finish
• Enhanced leather trim on EX (real leather on door trim)
• Aluminium grab handle on EX tonneau cover
• Improved tonneau cover on FX

Comfort
• Wider sport seat cushion to help deliver greater support from adjustable bolsters
• Revised logic settings for parking sensors to reduce distance at which audible warning cuts in
• Revised logic settings for adaptive headlamps to allow full functionality at top speed
• Efficient flat blade wipers and enhanced washer performance to cope with higher average speeds

Sundry changes
• Revised trunk under floor area providing dedicated housing area for first aid kit and warning triangle
• New switchgear graphics (replacing English script)
• Revised number plate surrounds

Pretty slick, wonder why WE don't get some of that stuff. Where'd you get the list?

At first i heard the Euro FX was different on about 500 points, but found that too much.
Reason why the euro spec has so many extra's is that the quality standard in europe for the cars there is higher. So when you want to come into the Euro market you have to compete with brands like....Audi.....BMW....Porsche and Mercedes.......wich ( no offence ) have better quality standards then some US brands.

Last and for me most important difference is:

IN EU FX50s cost around $ 130 000

I drove a US specs 50s and its enough for me ;) for a half price. :tonguey:

Base Model is 86.000 Euro's in the Netherlands due to all additional taxes. So say about 116KUSD with the current rate.
Topmodel is 106K Euro's so that is 146K USD even aiiiiiiii........

Have to say i think we pay the most taxes and import taxes of the whole of europe so this is extreme......!!

Now you guys probably understand that driving an FX in europe is not for everybody ;-) So we are soooo jealous of you..........we even pay triple gas prices
then what you currently pay.......and you guys are already complaining.........so don't......think of us next time

Lol.. Now that you put it that way.. I feel much better about driving one.

I'm from lebanon and the FX50s here is euro spec and costs with full options around about 103 000$
but gas prices here are through the roof
so to get a good price on a euro spec ur best bet is to come buy one from here and ship to the US :P

What do you pay per liter of gas....??

What do you pay per liter of gas....??

It's currently 36000 lebanese pounds per tank which is 22liters... that's 24$/22liters which is 6.5$/Gallon that is pretty high considering our country's minimal wage limit is 360$/month...on the other hand to buy an FX50s here u'd have to be pretty well off so gas prices would not be an issue... sorry for the late response

brakes are the same:
Dischi ventilati anteriori da 355 mm (posteriori da 350 mm con pinze contrapposte in alluminio (4 pistoncini anteriori, 2 pistoncini posteriori)

FX50 never had SD slot... it had Compact Flash
