so my week old 35 is pretty much written off

Its a simple accident. I am going straight. guy was trying to make a left turn and just turn right infront of me. It was so sudden that there are no skid mark on the road. it was pretty much a full impact accident. I slammed into him and then ran into a light pole. Airbags are out. impact went back into the engine. however it would be worse if this vehicle wasnt so well built. The interior is pretty much still in place.
 
Wow sorry to here that hope you are able to replace it. +1 on how well built the FX's are when I was rear ended by a Jeep Grand Cherokee earlier this year her bumper came completly off the Jeep and the FX only had a small crease in the bumper and bent one of the tailpipes ----all fixed now.
 
I have pics but only on this instanct cell and they are dark. The phone doesnt seem to have flash. I am ok in terms of no broken bones or anything but the doc said i have a sprained neck....which is not good news because of the type of job i have.

If things work out the way they should I will get another FX. too bad i loved that one so much because i got the color i wanted..exterior and interior. The only thing it didnt have which I would have liked is the tech package.

lol I can laugh about it now but at the time my only concerned was getting out of that vehicle. I thought that thing was going to blow up as Ive seen many burnt cars on the road. I ran out and away from that truck so fast because the engine was still running but smoking.
 
Wow, sorry to hear about what happened to you. Main thing is that your alright. Well maybe now is the time to get the FX that you want with the Tech Package.
 
I bet your control arm snapped right?
On my jeep it snapped and ran in someone's front yard.
Now there is an excuse to get the '09 maybe??

hey man, I'm in ny also, is the fx gone as the insurance has already taken it, or is it still in the claims process? I would love to buy it if that's a possibility & if so I would take care of you $$$ too. if theres any chance of that pm me your # or pm me & I'll send you mine :smile: oh yeah, sorry for your loss too, but as long as your ok, a car is a car, can alway be replaced....

sorry about thew crash man hope your sprained neck doesnt ruin too much for you. if you dont already have a lawyer my dad is one and does alot of cases with stuff like this:biggrin:

I dont know whats going to happen. my insurance company adjuster will look at the vehicle.

I already contacted a lawyer.
 
I own a body shop in bay ridge Brooklyn, if you need any help lmk, so I guess it's in one of those vulture type tow company shops now? if it winds up a repair then be carefull, those type shops aren't known for the best repairs...
