Guys, the other day I parked at school which is currently undergoing construction and when I came home I noticed white dots ALL OVER MY TRUCK. Every glass, even the roof, it's horrible. And I attempted to wash it off today, and no luck at all. I did manage to get some of it off the glass using a razor blade.. but thats it. The only way I got it off was by scraping at it with my nail for about 20 seconds a dot.. :( I'm assuming the only way to get this off is to clay it? And I forgot to mention, my truck is black.:thumpdown::crossedlips: Help, please.

Ok Guys, UPDATE!! I finished. EXCEPT THE ROOF. I ran out of time, So it will have to wait...

Here goes, first up material used.

-About 10 Clean rags, I forgot to take a picture of the brand, they worked great, they did not scratch the paint at all. If you OB owners are interested the type of rags, let me know, I will provide pictures of the tag. They are great for black vehicles. I mean outstanding...
-Ice wax, not pictured.

My teacher did not do any part of this vehicle, I did the whole thing by myself. Took me about 17 hours total. Some of you may consider this slow, but claying, buffing, and waxing 2 times on a black vehicle isn't exactly easy. It's really a shame I had to do this so early in me owning this vehicle, but hey I guess I had to do this sometime..

clay will take it off, you just have to rub over it alot and with moderate strength. i had blue "window paint" runs on my window that go on the paint also. you should see the paint beginning to come off in the clay, thats when you know its working. i got blue smears on my clay and just had to keep going to get it all off.

ya i got hit with some SKA '09 and '08 last year. someone was genius enough to do it on a day it rained and it just ran all down my back hatch and bumper. i think i even found some on the front fender though somehow.

I got a chance to work on my truck.. I clayed most of it, except the bumpers, roof, and decklid.. thats tomorrow. I also glazed it.. I took a look over it in the sun, and it looks completely horrible. scratches everywhere..... swirls everywhere...I still have yet to finish.. and it still needs to be waxed etc... But how do you OB owners take out scratches lets say from a rag? You guys should know what i'm talking about...

i dont. i have the hologram effect going right now, where the swirls seem to pop out at you. one of these days im going to the place where i got my clay bar, and this guy said he will help me with polishing and stuff to take care of the swirl marks.

Just curious, what do you apply your soap with when you wash your car? Is there like a special kind of sponge we should use to avoid scratching the VERY DELICATE paint?

I see, do you have alot of minor scratches in your paint? I'm assuming no since your an 07'?
oh god yes. its an '07, but it has almost 30k miles, and i got it at 25k miles so the damage was done. theres alot of interesting scratches on it, and other little imperfections i've noticed

I am in construction. It sounds like the paint contractor on that project owes you a new paint job. Did you record the date and time this happened?

Take the info to the general contractor. They shoul dhav ean office trailer on site. At a minimum they'll have a project sign with their phone number on it.

I never said this but they will consider it cheaper to get your car painted than dealing with a lawyer.

It is a major pain for you to deal with this but better than a permanent reminder of what happened to your car.

Well I'm already in the process of removing all of the crap, I did think about calling the school and reporting it to them.. But I thought they would say, well how could I prove this happened at school etc.. So I didnt' even bother.. But if this happens again, I will raise hell. Believe it or not, is spent a total of 15 hours between today and yesterday claying, compounding, waxing, and a whole bunch of other miscellaneous crap. It took me such a great amount of time because my truck is OB.. so that mostly explains it. I'm almost done with the enitre thing, tommorow I have to do the hood, front bumper, and the pillars. What a pain this was..

Sure thing, providing all goes well tomorrow.^^ I've heard about that Zainoo stuff, but can someone clarify exactly what this is, and how well it works? Thanks!

I tried it when I first got the FX........works really well. Except that theres so many darn steps that it usually takes a full day. I stopped using it.....now i just take it to the car wash and pay $15 for the homies to do it.
