I thought I'd stick this under Detailing since it's still making the outside cleaner etc.

Does any one know a good place to purchase touch up paint?

I've collected a hand full of chips, scatches and would'nt mind trying to fix them.
Also, how does everyone recomend using the stuff?

mynismo.com
They have it by the factory paint code. You can also find it on ebay.
They should be at infinitipartsusa.com and infiniti-parts.com as well..

ok check out PAINTSCRATCH.COM

Thanks!

i bought mine and used it once. This thing does not match your paint no matter how you use it. I do not recommend wasting your money on it.

That's what I'm worried about, making a bad problem worse.
I heard that if you wait until it's half dry then buffing it with a cloth it helps to make it look not so 'painted on'.

you also have to really shake it hard, get the little ball in there to lossen up a bit & then really continue pounding it in you fist over & over to really mix it well, the ball will roll around easy like it's in liquid when your done after a real lot of shaking.... then it should match much better...

I've acctually done this and bought mind from Mynismo.com. It was about $9 and is the "nissan black".

Just know that over the life of the car the paint fades and the color will no longer match. Also, if the scratch or the chip is large enough, when the paint drys, it does not match the surface. It will be lower.

I went to my local Infiniti dealer to pick up my AC touch up paint, cost me about $6.

I've heard that each dealer can charge anywhere between below MSRP to 300% over msrp when it comes to parts. I called Miller in Van Nuys for the G35S emblem and they gave me $50+, I called another dealer and got $40+ and finally baught it from Riverside for $26. Same with the exhaust gaskets, I would have paid twice with one of the dealers.

Dearler pricing is just luck and who you speak with. Don't we have a Dealer memeber?

dealers have an official list price, & then they have there otc price, which is what they rape unsuspecting over the counter customers with... anything over list is robbery, I mean even at list there making around 45% profit:neutral:

try 100% on most parts. A part that was $60, I was able to get for $30 going through a friend that had a reaseller permit. It would have been about $24 for an Employee.

WOW .. it's a small stick off touch up paint and they were charging you that much? I would've told them to shove it up where the sun don't shine.
