Shadow FX :: 2012 Infiniti FX35

Traded it away still have the original headlights, cargo cover, red tail lights and the fxr lenses laying in the basement. Other then that everything I had put on the fx stayed on the old fx.

Lucky for the new owner. Those wheels alone looks sick on your old ride. So you did not remove the clear tails?

It's tally forgot about doing it bc one day I was at the dealer getting an oil change the next day back picking up the new fx. Was getting some work done in the house that week so I totally forgot about the tail lights until I already had traded the fx in.

I'm going to have the akebono brakes installed soon as soon as these stock brakes I have on are done. I'm trying to make sure these are done before I get the other ones installed. Also want the fx50 rims for this fx but not sure if just going to get a set of black 22" rims either. Even though I would prefer the fx50 wheels

Looks good Oscar.
Big fan of the black accents with the Graphite. Great look for sure. The chrome fog light housing does look out of place. Plastic dip or delete, Imho. I didn't want to remove bumper to delete so plasti dipped mine.

Yeah I was thinking of doing that too. I did a quick plasti dip but I'm going to strip what I have done and do it all over again.

The handlew come off really easily, which makes wrapping them very simple. I just did a piece on the inside, and then wrapped the outside of each one over it. Been going strong for 5 months.

Hi Ocscar- when you plasti-dipped the vents, did you just tape off the perimeter? Or did you try to tape off the black internal plastic pieces of the vent as well? I've toyed with the idea of plasti-dipping the vents in the meantime while I contemplate painting/replacing the vents.

Thx!

At first I removed them bc I was trying to wrap them and when it did not come out like I wanted I ended up plasti Dip them. Later on I stripped the plasti dip and did them over with the vents still installed and I just covered around the area.

yeah, I was just trying to envision how much of a hassle it would be peeling off the plasti-dip from all the crevices and edges of the interior parts of the vent if I wasn't happy with the results...

Just leave an inch and a half of area around the vents unmasked, make sure to do 6-7 coats, and it will peel off, and break clean, with ease.

Next step might be the clear tail lights since I cracked the red lights trying to remove them. Just not sure about getting them or just buying the red ones from ebay already used.
