Looks good, you can instal a small black fibre washer to eliminate the gap.

Good idea. The inside of the antenna at the bottom is actually conical rather than flat, so the gap is real thin visibly but is actually shaped like a cone. I'll keep my eyes open at the hardware store but it's far from urgent.
